Tyrostat™
The Tyrostat™ skin lightening ingredients are derived from plants that are native to the northern Canadian prairie region. The current line is based on extracts of Field Dock (Rumex spp.) that have strong inhibitory effects on the tyrosinase enzyme. Tyrosinase inhibition reduces the formation of unwanted pigmentation allowing for control over human skin tone and brown spots.
Hair Care
Capixyl™
A clinically proven peptide combined with a red clover extract rich in Biochanin A. These ingredients work synergetically on three of the main hair loss mechanisms: direct action on 5-alpha-reductase which modulates DHT to prevent hair miniaturization, improvement of ECM protein integrity for optimal hair anchoring, and reduction of inflammation, a contributing factor of hair loss. Capixyl™ stimulates hair growth with higher activity than the reference hair growth agent, Minoxidil®, as demonstrated in an ex vivo study.
Anti-irritant
Canadian Willowherb™
A plant extract (from Epilobium angustifolium) for which non-steroidal anti-irritant properties have been demonstrated in clinical tests. It shows strong reduction of chemical and UV-induced skin redness within 30 minutes of use. In addition, it shows strong antibacterial activity against P. acnes.
